Heart of The Forest Dotted Notebook

I love the new 70lb paper. It would great with all my fountain pens and is a lovely shade of white. I've started doing my swatching on it because I know it will be the majority of my notebooks/planners going forward. Thank you for making something for the rest of us.

The book is beautifully made. The only thing is that the binding opened between two of the booklet sections that compose the book. Before I started using the book, I opened the pages alternating between front and back being very careful about it. It’s a shame because I use it as a commonplace and memory keeping book that I intend to have in my library permanently and hopefully pass down to my children.

This notebook is absolutely perfect as my commonplace set up! Love love love the paper and the size! H&O is just pure top quality with their products and it gets shipped to me so fast!

Gorgeous journal. Exquisite materials. An amazing value. It makes you want to write in it. And write well.

I am in love with this journal. I use it as my devotional journal where I write letters to God and the quality makes me hold more reverence for the practice. All the materials are incredibly high quality and I find myself excited to write in it every time!

In summary this is the perfect notebook for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation boxes, these would make wonderful gifts, but are also great for storing the notebooks until ready to use them. The covers are beautiful and what attracted me. I appreciate the lack of branding on the cover (and in fact, don't believe there is any on the book anywhere), which is what got me to switch from my current notebooks. Glad to see the numbered pages. Bonus that these are Canadian!

Great job H&O team! I ordered 3 which will last me a while, but I'm tempted to order more to collect more colours. If ever a dark navy is made, I'll have to put in an order, but there are so many great options.

As a long time fountain pen user, I approached this journal with hesitation. My preferred paper of nearly twenty years has declined in quality, so I needed a replacement that could truly perform. Hemlock & Oak’s 70 GSM paper exceeded all expectations. It reveals shading, sheening, and shimmering beautifully while avoiding bleedthrough, feathering, and ghosting entirely. I tested a full range of nib sizes and several challenging inks, and the paper handled every one of them flawlessly. The only small note is that a few of my shading inks do not show quite as much shading as I know they are capable of on other papers, but the performance is still exceptional. This journal has earned a permanent place in my lineup.

Smooth writing experience. Minimal bleed-thru when I goofed and made a blot. Feels high quality and enjoyable to use.

OMG! love the colour of this notebook. I will be using it for my 2026 reading journal. I am hoping it will last me for the entire year the pages are a good size. I am so happy with my purchase.

I love my 2026 TN size graph notebook. I cant stop talking about the quality of the paper. It held up so well for my reading journal.

An absolute joy to journal in. The paper quality is outstanding. I use a uni-ball one F pen .38 The pen writes very smoothly on this paper and no skipping or ghosting. Lay’s flat when opened, which makes journaling even easier. I loved it so much I ordered another notebook with a different design.

I love these notebooks and have become spoiled by them and don't want to use anything else! I like the largerB5 size. I love the grid, and I really appreciate the fact that at 150 gsm paper there is no show through from page to page. I use them for things I want to archive and have a long lasting record of. The cover is perfect, very durable, doesn't scuff like some.

This is a beautiful notebook. The paper quality is lovely. Thick enough, very smooth. The cover is nice, rich color. The weight is great and easy to pop into my purse/tote/backpack/carry by hand without feeling “hefty”. After a few months and adding decor and washi, I may feel differently. The gold foiling doesn’t flake off. As I write this review, I have used the notebook. (I bought two of them at the same time & started with the blue one).

I bought this notebook after seeing the brand recommended by one of my favorite YouTubers. She said that the paper was great and she wasn't lying. The paper is EXQUISITE!!! I'm completely in love with H&O and I already ordered my notebooks for next year.

Just began using my new journal this past weekend and so far I am in LOVE!! This is my first time using graph and I don't think I'll be going back to dot anytime soon. I feel that the paper just makes my spreads look so lovely! I'm so excited to showcase it on my IG. Thank you so much for making amazing quality products! Oh, I also ordered the elastic band! Love the look of it and I got very close to the color. Looks like it came with it.:) I couldn't be more happier.

I’ve loved using your notebook so far this year. It’s my first Hemlock and Oak item. I did notice that when removing washi tape a couple times the top layer of the paper did tear. But I’m not sure if this was the paper or if the washi tape was more sticky. The other washi tapes I’ve used to far have been fine with no page tearing! Really enjoying the journal overall so far. It lays flat more consistently than other notebooks I’ve used. Love buying locally and will recommend your brand for sure. Thanks!

I don’t have any complaints. I love how minimalistic it is and how thick the paper is. It’s perfect for me, I’m obsessed! I also gifted one travel journal to my husband, it just suits him perfectly!

This is my second purchase and I have not been disappointed yet. I really like the quailty of the material. I also love knowing that the products where made with the environment in mind.
